- This work has an iris motif, and is part of Alphonse Mucha's series of floral paintings, "Les Fleurs." This series, "Les Fleurs," was sold by Champenois, who had an exclusive contract with Mucha, and not only the decorative panels but also the menus were produced at the same time. (According to Mucha's sales catalog)
This work is the menu version of that, and was used by writing the customer's name under the picture and the menu on the back. Because it was used as a menu chart, unused items like this one are valuable.
