- This work was published in the British magazine Savoy in 1896. It depicts two luxuriously dressed servants carrying large amounts of fruit while being watched over by a peacock. After Beardsley's death in 1898, a collection of his works was published in 1905 by the British publisher JM Dent. This work is the Dent edition.
