This work is an antique photographic postcard from 1907, showing Lake Daumesnil, which spreads out in the Bois de Vincennes, southeast of the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
The small island floating in the lake and the circular temple-like gazebo are beautifully depicted, perfectly capturing the balance between tranquil nature and the city.
One of the great attractions of this work is the typewritten letters "Paris, le 1/3/07" printed in the upper right corner of the postcard, and the words "Souvenir de Paris" written on the address side.
Typewritten postcards from this era are extremely rare, making this piece both visually and documentarily valuable.
The work is printed in a bluish sepia tone and framed in a blue-gray cloth mount and black wooden frame. The calm and poetic lake scenery is enhanced with depth. The framed size is approximately 20 x 27.5 cm.
