On the front page, Holmes is seen removing his disguise in an opium den and revealing his true identity to Watson.
The reverse side depicts the couple riding in a carriage through London at midnight.
Painter Sidney Paget captures the intelligence and drive inherent in danger through soft brushstrokes and tense compositions.
This album, which features different famous scenes on each side, vividly depicts the contrast between "stillness" and "movement" in the Holmes stories.
