Central Station of Aviation Notre Dame Cathedral - Gothic architecture that connects to the sky

A "Central Station of Aeronautics" for airships traveling through the sky was built on the roof of the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral.
Albert Robida's 1883 painting, Station d'Aeronautics, Notre-Dame de Paris, is one of the illustrations for his futuristic novel, Le Vingtième Siècle (The Twentieth Century).
A huge clock tower rises above the cathedral's Gothic architecture, and from there extends an aerial platform with a restaurant.
Fish-like flying boats fly through the sky and people enjoy traveling and eating as if in an aerial city.
This work depicts the "air infrastructure" as imagined by people at the end of the 19th century with astonishingly precise brushwork and bold composition, combining humor and urban romance.
